Correspondence, 1871-1914.

Primarily letters by Riviere, with references to the large number of his works lent for exhibition, proof etchings of two of his paintings, the owners and locations of several of his works, and the painters Sir Hubert von Herkomer and Joseph Crawhall, Jr. A letter of 1909 relates to the exhibition and sale of his painting "Ganymede;" here Riviere states that he never signs his works but instead uses dated monograms, and that he does not paint replicas.
